Taking A Break

After much thoughts, internal deliberations, and several dilly dallyings, i have decided to take a break from kobrawap. Not that i've been regular here recently anyway; but i just feel putting it in black and white does it for me. Will i come back? s***, i don't know....will i never come back? s***, i don't know either! I'm gonna be 3yrs old on kobra soon. The first year was the best....but it kinda seemed to be going downhill eversince for reasons not far-fetched! I sure will pop in once in a while but my degree of 'activeness' is at an all-time low and that's why i'm 'checking out'. Hope y'all keep it going on KB.....PS: Soljen, for f***'s sake, when are you gonna quit kobra lol? You are a god damn legend here! I guess you'll quit when Chris Okotie becomes the president of Nigeria! GOD LOVES YOU ALL

This Week...

I've been loving this week. It's been almost rollercoaster for me - well, PHCN is the ever present dark cloud in my clear blue sky. I've just been learning a whole lot of things that's been quite inspiring and today was no different. Hope i close out tomorrow on a high to make it one of the best weeks for me in 2010. BTW, shouts out to any Chilean here on kobrawap; you've been in the news for a while but i'm glad you had the last laugh!

Oedipus Complex II

...till date is 'The Young Breed'. With that being said, permit my ignorance when i say i haven't read the legendary Ola Rotimi drama: the gods are not to blame. I know the story, watched the drama, read several pages of the book but i've never really sitten down to read it cover to cover. Still, i regard it as one of the greatest ingenious piece of literary work. However, as i was reading the dictionary today (it's my own alternative to novels), i came across Oedipus complex and its definition highlighted the origin of the word and it was the exact storyline as the aforementioned book. Imagine my disappointment as a book i had previously thought was thoughtfully created was only a depiction of an old fable. Perhaps it's just a coincidence or i woulda known this if i'd read more novels but just knowing what i know today is disheartening!
