Oedipus Complex

- (12/10/10 14:39)
Just read something now and i'm itching to just put it down. Well, it may not seem a surprise to a lotta people but i gotta admit i'm was like 'wow' when i saw it. For starters, I must confess i'm not big on reading novels and s*** cos i'm not patient enough to sit through just a single story - i'd rather pick up an old newspaper and sift through! I mean; i love reading a lot of different things than just spending time with a novel cos i find it time-wasting. Now, don't get me wrong; i don't hate reading novels (infact i secretely envy those who read them) but i just find it hard to do such cos i personally feel the best novels are those you read when you were young. I'm talking of 'Ali Baba and the 40 thieves', 'Akin goes to school', 'Ralia the sugar girl', 'the drummer boy', 'the Ali and Simbi stories', 'Koku Baboni', and all those collections about tortoise. Call me old-school but i love those books and i still read 'em up till now. And that's why my favourite novel till date is...

Punchline Maniacs 2

- (10/10/10 17:19)
That aside, i just decided to pen down a couple of my favourite punchlines."No other dudes come close, i'm homophobic" is my favorite of MI. It's hard to find the best of Jayz cos he's got a catalogue of them but i like these: "i'm not a businessman, i'm a business, man!" (you need to hear this to appreciate it) and "it's b'balling baby when i'm courting you". Kanye west: "i'm so good i'm like god with an extra o". Lilwayne: "i think about more than i forget" (i still don't understand that up till now). My homie, Eminem, is not into all those one-liners much. His is an intricately wicked series of rhymes that produces a reverberating series of wows by the time you actually understand it! And how can i forget Nas when he was at his peak! Anyway, hope i didn't bore you... Lemme close this with one of Eminem's lines: "over-reaction is my only reaction which sets off a chain reaction that puts so many shady maniacs in action!." Damn, that's talking about me - a Shady maniac lol!

Punchline Maniacs

- (10/10/10 17:06)
I've got a bunch of friends who are 'punchlinemanic' ie they are crazy about punchlines. BTW, punchline in hiphop (oh, so you didn't know i was talking of hiphop?) is a statement or line you drop that makes everyone go 'waoh'. In a battle rap, it's what drives the crowd crazy and hits your opponent hard - i guess that's where the word 'punch' comes from. A very recent popular seeming punchline is Da grin's "se be ti mo barrack obama, emi ni barrack ogrin". Didn't that line make you go wow? For me, that line earned him my respect. So, i guess y'all know what punchline is now for those who don't. Now, i told you about my friends who are crazy about punchlines. It all started with the advent of MI (you know he's all about punchlines); now, they can't stop riding his d***! I mean, the guy is dope; infact i think he's the dopest in Nigeria (Mode9 woulda been but he hasn't put out a great album) but these boys just don't let me be with 'MI this, MI that'....

Random S***...

- (9/10/10 11:28)
So, what's been up? Did i miss anything while i was away? I guess pretty much nothing. BTW, here's a spoiler alert for all y'all lil wayne fans: the dude's been put in solitary confinement in prison for being in possession of an MP3 player! I'm not really moved, however, cos i'm not a very 'big fan'. He's dope, no doubt, but he's never took my breath away. You heard about our ex-attorney general of the federation, Michael Aondoakaa; and how he was stripped of his SAN status? I'm happy cos the evil that men do seems to live with them these days! Shout out to all Liverpool fans: do you now believe you walk alone hmm? We, the Red Army of Manchester, are gonna see to it that you get relegated by next season! As for Chelsea, watch your back... You think i'll mention a***nal? Tsew, i'll do so when they can beat Chelsea twice consecutively! A bunch of lazy pregnant women - that's what a***nal is. If you think this blog makes no sense, i'm sorry - that's what hunger does to the brain!
