Bloah BlogFootball Matters III - (15/03/09 03:44) <in a boxing bout as well as claiming Andy Murray would win this year's Australian Open; that's english press for you! Anyway, united's achievements get massive airtalk cos most times they set those marks while at their best. Cudicini was the best keeper in 2003 but he was still unknown cos Chelsea was nowhere to be found that year. Similarly, Reina's clean sheet records attracted no media buzz cos Liverpool were simply nobody during those times(Mourinho era) whereas van der saar's own coincides with united's gallop to the league title. In summary, it is no doubt that united are the most supported by all in England but take note, they are receiving any undue advantage cos they've worked so hard to achieve this. Benitez and his cohorts had better take critical look at the reasons behind this rather than whine about and talk crap about Sir Alex Ferguson! Huh *sighs*, what an exhausting blog?! Lol

Football Matters II - (15/03/09 03:30) <that united has got going for them is that they are the most 'english' of the big4 teams in England! a***nal is the missing french club that migrated to England, Liverpool is the breeding site for Spanish players while Chelsea is, well, aggregation of so many nationalities. The point is united has more british players than all these other clubs put together which is a very vital reason for the massive support they get from the whole British isles. The perfect a***ogy of this is in Italy where Juventus is the beloved team ahead of the Argentinean team(Inter milan) and Brazilian team(AC milan). United are aware of this fact and that is why they will employ another British manager to succeed Fergie instead of Mourinho that everyone seem to be predicting! Now, talking about the hype buzzing after united, the english media has always been a megahypone(is there any instrument like this lol) for british sports such as flattering the likes of Ricky Harton till the poor dude got punched out>>

Football Matters - (15/03/09 03:05) For starters, i don't usually write reactionary blogs but i guess there is a time we all gotta bend our rules. I'm a manchester united fan as you probably musta known and it sickens me when certain allegations are levelled against my team such as we win so many penalties(even though 99% are of the penalties are correct decisions), we receive too much praise ('hype' as soljen called it lol) from the media etc but nobody has really sitten down and take a look at the reasons for all these. Yeah, i totally agree with all those allegations cos they are true but i'm sayin united deserves it all cos they've worked for it. United has been the best club in England for almost two decades now which is an indisputable fact; liverpool may have won more continental trophies but more respect is given to national league winners. Ask Sundowns FC of south africa who have won the CAF champions league before and they will tell you they amount to nothing in south african football. Another important factor>

Go Liverpool! - (14/03/09 14:37) Hmm, today has been an utter disaster for me! Hey, save your breath, it's nothing really serious lol. Truly, i've slowed down a bit with my active watching of football matches but today was extremely different cos i had planned my entire day based on the match between my team, manchester united, and liverpool, and what did i get? Utter disgrace! Yeah, i know matches can go either way and i honestly don't take defeats as serious as this but the manner and magnitude was just hard to stomach. A 4-1 demolition right there in our backyard, ouch that really hurts! This is probably the worst result united has had since i joined apart from the AC Milan 3-0 bashing but that wasn't quite suprising anyway. Well, i think i can take solace in the fact that liverpool will still think Benitez is still good enough to win them the league which thus affords us lesser competition for the trophy cos as long as Benitez is the coach, they aint getting no s*** league. Congrats, by d way, to all Liverpudians!

Platter Of Silver - (13/03/09 06:18) Holidays, often times, coincide wit travellin around whc sort of ensures u r a bit 'loaded' wit cash esp if u go visitin an elderly one who wil definitely 'drop' some quids in ur pocket. I'd made a couple of thousands of naira via dis means recently and i'd planned on usin d money to buy a pair of shoes later wen i get to school. So, i decided to deposit it in my account bt somehow i neva did and it was wt me. Last sunday in church, a plea was made by some christian youth corps members as regards to money and i felt 'touched', so i dropped 'a few' naira notes; a somewhat similar tin happened again and i ended up dropin mor notes. Alas, i who had a coupl of thousands is now left wit minute pieces of hundreds lol. Obviously, d money was spent on good causes bt den dt shows i stil nid to sharpen my financial management cos 'if you dont spend money, money's gon spend itself one way or d other'. Now av gotta buy my shoes on a platter of silver cos i jst mesd up wen offerd a platter of gold!
