Bloah BlogRat Race III - (31/08/10 13:23) I hate promotion exams cos it's essence is really to determine those who will repeat rather than the other way round. I did one recently and although i narrowly escaped the pitfall, i've got friends who weren't that lucky and i just feel sorry for them cos it's not as though they weren't good enough but they were just unlucky to get caught up in a rat race whereby a bush rat, a mouse and even a porcupine are made to slug it out in this silly race of life. Gosh, it's so unfair! But then, would i swap my place with theirs instead so as to even the scores? Hell no! It's a rat race and the winner takes it all. Tell me, isn't this so much more fun than golf lol?

Rat Race II - (31/08/10 13:21) Yo, as i was saying, games generally have these amusement tendency such that they have a common characteristic of amusing us. The one i find most amusing is a rat race - not the expression; i mean literal rat race! Here, people bet on different rats in a race just as they do for horse racing, you get? It just struck me that our lives tend to be lived that way as well. We're all in a race, as it were, to achieve certain goals and in our struggles, we knock down and trample upon other people either directly or indirectly, knowingly or unknowingly. As a student, i'm constantly on my toes; this time not struggling for the prizes (i've realized i'm as faraway from that as i am from you that are reading this blog) but trying not to get trampled upon and get sucked in the abyss of failure as it were.

Rat Race - (31/08/10 12:58) I know man has created a whole lot of different games and activities to amuse himself - well, golf might be an exception cos i still don't understand the objectives of that game! I mean, what kinda game (or sports if you like) makes a 57yr old pot-bellied man tuck in his shirt, bend his back at a specified angle with his butt pointed out - as though he's tryna reflexly protect himself against a blow to his...you know...weenie - while he hauls a long stick towards a white ball? And don't even get me started on the, most times, ill-looking caddie who runs around carrying a bag filled with sticks (is he a Fulani nomad?). Anyway, more on the golf thing another time; that was just a diversion! Oh, you thought that's what this blog was about? My bad...i'm just getting warmed up lol.

Where Is JT? - (29/08/10 18:15) It's been 3years my pretty-faced boy put out an album. I've really missed the Janet Jackson boob-grabbing, Britney Spears' ex who i feel is the truest representation of R'nB - Usher Raymond is a close second. Please, just tell him i'm patiently waiting for him. By the way, JT is Justin Timberlake!

Pitchblack - (26/08/10 15:45) Well, i guess it's no longer news that Nigeria is in total darkness as her sold company responsible for electricity supply (ie Power Holding Company of Nigeria) is currently on a nationwide strike. Thus, a country that 'houses' over 140million people and measures about 923,768 square kilometers is in total darkness - save a select few who are rich enough to afford diesel and petrol generating sets! I just imagine what will be seen if a sort of outerspace imaging is done - it will show an area of pitchblack darkness surrounded by light (Nigeria is bounded by Ghana and Cameroon)e what may, we are still the 'giant' of Africa! As a footnote: Africa is the highest importer of generating sets with Sub-Saharan Africa contributing the major percentage. I can bet my balls Nigeria ranks 1st among the Sub-Saharan region!
